Head of operations at the General Staff of the Israeli army, Yisrael Shomer:
As far as I know, there’s been no significant reconstruction of the damaged nuclear and missile systems in iran, and we’re monitoring them.
We have no intention of starting a war with Iran, at least not now. We are ready to defend.
We are preparing for a situation where we are forced to act again against Iran, but we have no plans to do so in advance. If the red lines break we have to sit around the table and decide.
The army’s mission in the North has not yet been completed, as not all settlers have yet fully returned.
Hezbollah will not lay down its weapons at will.
As long as it’s up to us we have to continue in southern Lebanon and in Lebanon itself to preserve the gains, but that’s a political decision.
